- 2026 MEN'S ADVANCE

- 2026 MEN'S ADVANCE

Session 1

Friday Evening - Pastor Matt Richard

  1. What’s one thing that you are carrying into the event this weekend that you would like to lay down before Jesus, before we start?

  2. What voices (family, culture, friends, media) have most shaped the man you’ve become?

  3. In what ways have you unintentionally ‘adopted’ an identity that doesn’t reflect Christ?

  4. Where is God currently calling you to greater obedience?

  5. When was the last time you honestly felt like you were living as a son of God rather than just surviving as a man?

  6. What’s one area of your life where you know God is calling you higher—but you’ve resisted?

Session 2

Saturday Morning - Pastor Charlie Mitchell

1. When you were a kid and got in trouble, did you confess, deflect, or disappear? How much has that actually changed?

2. Look at the fig leaf list — performance, aggression, humor, silence, religious activity, busyness. Which one is your default? Which one do the people closest to you see most often?

3. David said “when I kept silent, my bones wasted away.” Where in your body do you carry what you haven’t said out loud? What does unspoken weight feel like for you?

4. Every man leaves this conference carrying something. What is the one thing you’re not willing to carry home the same way you brought it in?

Session 3

Saturday Afternoon - Pastor Pastor Jimmy Ackers

1.What is one habit, mindset, or pattern that must be (put off) for you to walk forward healthier? (As listed in Colossians 3:5-9 - sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires, greed, anger, rage, malice (cause harm), slander, filthy language, lying. Or even something not listed there.)

2.What needs to change for that to happen?

3.What is one habit, mindset, or discipline that must be (put on) for you to walk forward healthier? (As we see in the life of Jesus - Prayer and Solitude, Casting Down Temptation, Scripture Reading, Corporate Worship, Submission, Simplicity, Care for the Oppressed, Fellowship Meals, Evangelism and Proclamation.)

4.What is one thing you can do intentionally this week to put that one habit, mindset, or discipline into practice?

5.Who has encouraged or helped you the most in your pursuit of Jesus, being like Jesus, and being healthier spiritually?

6.Take the time this week to call or write a text, email, or letter to that person to honor them and show your appreciation for their impact in your life.
